I realized that I haven't posted any pictures in a while and the bathroom now looks very different. Actually we've progressed farther than these photos show, but one blog post at a time.
We decided on a wood plank style of tile for the floor with dark grout and minimal grout lines.

We are adding a shiny white subway tile half wall around the tub area, sink and entry door.
Right now the tile is on the wall, but it still needs grout and sealant.
